Synopsis: Brooklyn-born Jerome Felder – stricken by polio – reinvented himself first as blues singer Doc Pomus, then as the writer of hits including “Save the Last Dance for Me,” “This Magic Moment,” “A Teenager in Love,” and “Viva Las Vegas.” Doc’s tale of disability and possibility is told by friends including Dr. John, Ben E King, Joan Osborne, Dion, Leiber and Stoller, and Lou Reed, who reads from Doc’s private journals.
